NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani votes early ahead of November midterms

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani voted early at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, urging New Yorkers to vote on five ballot proposals ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

The proposals cover public space, city contracting, street safety, city property and office space, building permits and financial reserves. Mamdani also expressed support for Governor Kathy Hochul's re-election bid and criticizes US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over its actions in New York.
