Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has proposed that Egypt, Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia work together to develop a regional security framework.

Speaking to TRT in Istanbul after the R4-E3 meeting, Abdelatty said the framework should be based on a shared vision and remain open to other countries joining. He described the situation in Gaza as intolerable and said a two-state solution was essential for lasting regional security. He also warned that renewed military escalation involving Iran could affect regional inflation, food security and energy supplies.
