Gabak festival showcases pumpkin culinary culture

The second edition of the “Gabak (Pumpkin) Festival” was held in Erenler, a district of Sakaryain Türkiye celebrating the region’s signature ingredient, the pumpkin. From desserts and soups to jams, the pumpkin was showcased in a variety of recipes that highlighted its importance in Sakarya’s culinary culture.

The festival featured a pumpkin dessert competition, in which nine pumpkin growers competed to create the best dessert. Stalls set up across the festival grounds welcomed visitors, offering a variety of local products and pumpkin-based treats.
