French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Kuwait on Monday marking the start of a three-day official tour (October 19–21) across four Persian Gulf states.

Macron was received upon landing at Amiri Airport by His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Prior to Macron’s arrival, Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met with French diplomats to review strategic military cooperation and defense ties between the two nations.

The delegation is focusing on energy cooperation, addressing stability in the Strait of Hormuz, and securing stable fuel and oil supplies to manage broader economic pressures and high living costs in Europe. Discussions center on mutual security interests and bilateral trade partnerships.
