Uzbek president meets Chinese premier

Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Saturday that China stands ready to ensure the high-quality implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project.

During his meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent, Li also said that China supports more capable Chinese enterprises in investing and doing business in Uzbekistan and hopes that the Uzbek side will continue to provide a favorable business environment for these enterprises.

In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Mirziyoyev, the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future has continued to achieve new results, Li said.

In the face of a complex and turbulent international landscape, China and Uzbekistan should strengthen solidarity and cooperation and remain firmly committed to moving forward together, he said. For his part, Mirziyoyev congratulated the Communist Party of China on the 105th anniversary of its founding, saying that under the wise leadership of President Xi, China is forging ahead toward national rejuvenation.
