Putin says Russia willing to assist Iran in resolving regional tensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian that Moscow is ready to do everything in its power to help resolve the ongoing conflict. Putin also stated that his country is preparing to play a role in diplomatic efforts and mediation to help end the conflict, noting that Tehran has made efforts to seek a peaceful resolution.

Both leaders met on Thursday in Turkmenistan on the sidelines of a regional summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
