Ronaldo says he wants Portugal 'punishment' but not retiring

Cristiano Ronaldo said on Tuesday that he is not retiring from international football and accepts that he deserves to be punished for walking out of Portugal’s Nations League camp. In an Instagram statement, the 41-year-old apologized to his teammates and the Portuguese people, said he would accept whatever sanction the federation imposes, and declared himself available for the national team.

He also promised fans one or more farewell matches down the line, saying there will be time for that.
