Giant pandas enjoy holiday feast

Giant pandas at a tropical wildlife park in south China’s Hainan Province enjoyed a festive feast in celebration of the National Day holiday, delighting visitors during the week-long holiday that began Thursday.

At Panda World, located in the Hainan Tropical Wildlife and Botanical Park in the provincial capital Haikou, national flags flutter to rainforest music. Giant pandas Gong Gong and Shun Shun are enjoying specially prepared National Day treats, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Their keepers crafted a multi-tiered bamboo cake adorned with colorful flowers and stuffed with fresh bamboo. The festive feast also features fruit, carrots, bamboo leaves, organic grain buns, apples, and a refreshing fruit-and-vegetable ice cake. The pandas’ feast is also being livestreamed. The park also offers other activities, including interactive magic shows that engage kids and their parents through fun and learning together.
