Support for Religion: Offertories donated to three monasteries in Monywa

Sagaing Region government donated rice and edible oil to the Sayadaws and members of Sangha from monasteries in Monywa Township at a ceremony held at the Maha Jotikarama Monastery in Phone Soe Ward on September 30th. 

Chief Minister U Ko Lay, along with the concerned officials attended the ceremony. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of "Namo Tassa" three times. This was followed by the Chief Minister and the audience observed Five Precepts under the guidance of the presiding Sayadaw of Maha Jotikarama Monastery.

The Chief Minister and officials offered donated items to the Sayadaws and shared the merit gain. At the Sasana Yaungchi Monastery in NandawonWard, and Myoma Shwe Gu Monastery in Chan Mya Thazi Ward, the Chief Minister and officials offered offertories to the members of Sangha. A total worth of 53.148 million Kyats offertories were donated by the Sagaing Region Government and business owners to 3 monasteries in Monywa Township.
