Pyithu Hluttaw Session: 8th day of the 3rd regular session held

The 8th day of the Third Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held at 10 a.m. today, 30th September, at the Pyithu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 351 Hluttaw representatives entitled to attend, 341 were present.

The question-and-answer session was held in accordance with the agenda. Dr. Shwe Pyi Soe, representing Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Constituency, asked about traffic conditions in Yangon, particularly the causes of traffic congestion and road blockages, and sought information on measures being taken to address traffic-related issues.

U Win Swe, also known as U Win Shwe, representing Labutta Constituency, asked what measures would be taken regarding the suspension of construction of four storm shelters in Kaing Thaung, Kone Kama, Yae Twin Seik and Kone Gyi villages in Labutta Township.

U Nyan Win Htike, representing Botahtaung Constituency, asked whether there were plans to assist homeless people in improving their livelihoods and reintegrating them into the social welfare system.

U Saw Maung, representing Salin Gyi Constituency, asked whether frontline staff of the health sector who meet the required qualifications are regularly given opportunities to sit for promotion examinations.

U Naing Win, representing Danubyu Constituency, asked whether there were plans to upgrade the inter-village roads linking Kyet Yoe Village in Sakhangyi Village Tract, Danubyu Township, to Thutphya (East) Village into all-weather gravel roads.

A total of 10 questions, including those mentioned above, were raised. Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Than Soe, Deputy Minister for Health Dr. Aye Tun and Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Thike Soe responded to the questions, it’s reported.
