Repatriation: Verified Myanmar Nationals from Malaysia

Myanmar Navy vessels, namely UMS Moattama, UMS Than Lwin and UMS Sin Phyu Shin arrived at Lumut Port, Malaysia on the morning of 28 September to repatriate 1,476 verified Myanmar nationals who had been detained in the Malaysian Immigration detention camps and faced difficulties following completion of their sentences due to the violation of the immigration regulations.

Following the systematic handover of the verified Myanmar nationals by the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Military, Naval and Air Attache of Myanmar in Kuala Lumpur, three Myanmar naval vessels departed from the Lumut Naval Base in Malaysia on the evening of 29 September, carrying the repatriated Myanmar nationals bound for Yangon.
