Tehran offers US seven-day plan for Hormuz reopening

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Tehran had offered Washington a plan that would see the Strait of Hormuz reopened to maritime navigation within seven days. Tehran is asking the U.S. to lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports, ease military pressure, waive sanctions on Iranian oil sales, and observe broader regional ceasefires.

In return for easing the blockade and military pressure, Iran would fully reopen the energy shipping channel and restart stalled talks regarding its nuclear program, Araghchi said.
