Millions in US Northeast brace for powerful storm

More than 40 million people in the US Northeast braced Friday for a powerful Nor'easter storm bringing heavy rain, coastal flooding, and wind gusts exceeding 60 mph through the weekend. Authorities ordered several outdoor festivals were also axed over safety concerns.

British pop singer Ed Sheeran's weekend concerts near Boston were canceled due to the looming storm. The Federal Aviation Administration also advised airplane passengers to check its website for travel updates and issued travel alerts allowing passengers to change their flights without incurring fees.
