India, Brazil, South Africa reaffirm commitment to stronger multilateralism

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar participated in the India, Brazil, South Africa Dialogue Forum (IBSA) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, focusing on multilateral cooperation and global challenges. The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the UN Charter, international law and a stronger multilateral system.

They also reiterated their support for expanding United Nations Security Council membership to include developing countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America, in both permanent and non-permanent categories. The ministers expressed concern over energy and food insecurity, inflation and fiscal pressures.
