Combating Online Scams : Myanmar delegation attends the conference in Cambodia

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs Gneral Ko Ko Oo attended the International Conference on Combating Online Scams from September 23rd to 24th in Phnom Penh of Cambodia.

At the opening ceremony of the conference on September 23rd, the Union Minister stated the Myanmar’s current implementations on combating online fraud networks as a national priority, in cooperation with regional and international organizations.

The Union Minister also called for cooperative efforts of all regional countries in combating online fraud and crack down on related criminal networks.

During the visit, the Union Minister separately met with a delegation led by Mr. Yang Weilin, Vice Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China and Mr. Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia to discuss further strengthen cooperation between the Ministries. The meeting also exchanged views on Myanmar’s current effort to combat online fraud and crack down related criminal networks operating in the country.
