Amyotha Hluttaw: Third day meeting of third regular session

Third day meeting of third regular session of third Amyotha Hluttaw was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Hluttaw Representatives raised questions on settlement of flood victims in Myay Nu Village of Magway Township, providing supports of modern technology for the State Agriculture and Livestock Institute in Thayawady, implementation of policies, laws and projects for establishment of Agricultural Data System, repair plan for Khayu ခရု Creek Sluice Gate in Oakkan of Yangon Region, dredging of Mway Ni Creek in Hmawby Township, and water supply plan from Lagun Pyin Dam to its water purification plant in Hlegu Township.

Deputy Ministers for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Ye Tint Tun, U Bo Bo Kyaw replied the questions. The session later discussed a proposal for drafting a law and bylaw to establish an Insurance Guarantee Fund to protect the rights of insurers in the event of the termination of an insurance business. The fourth day meeting of the third regular session will be held on September 28.
