National Races Affairs: Vice President inspects National Races Village (Yangon)

Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye inspected the National Races Village (Yangon) located in Thaketa Township, Yangon Region, on September 23. 

First, the Vice President enjoyed the performance of song and dance presentations, awarding floral baskets and cash honors to the performers.  Afterward, during her guidance speech in the meeting hall, the Vice President stated that bringing together and displaying the traditional cultural heritage and customs of various ethnic groups in one place allows younger generations to study and preserve these cultural legacies, yielding significant cultural benefits.

She added that visits by both domestic and international tourists will also generate local tourism benefits. Next, Union Minister U Than Maung presented an overview regarding the implementation of operations at the National Races Village (Yangon). Following the presentation, the Union Minister presented a commemorative gift to the Vice President, who then presented monetary awards back for the staff and their family members. Afterward, the Vice President inspected the National Races Village (Yangon), where the Union Minister and responsible officials conducted a guided tour and brief.
