Region/State Football Tournament: U-19 Women’s Football Tournament kicked off

Group matches of the Region and State U-19 Women’s Football Tournament kicked off on Thursday at venues in Hpa-an of Kayin State, and Taunggyi of Shan State.

At Zwegapin Sports Ground in Hpa-an, Mandalay Region defeated Tanintharyi Region 9-0. In Taunggyi, heavy rain interrupted the match between Kachin State and Magway Region. The match was rescheduled for September 18 at 7:00 am. The tournament is jointly organized by the Region and State Governments and the Myanmar Football Federation under the supervision of the Sports and Physical Education Department of the Ministry of Sports Affairs.

The group matches will continue on September 19, with Kayin State facing Mandalay Region at Zwegapin Sports Ground in Hpa-an, Bago Region taking on Rakhine State at the Bago Sport Complex, Shan State playing Kachin State in Taunggyi, and Ayeyawady Region meeting Yangon Region at Koe Thein Sports Ground in Pathein. Football enthusiasts can enjoy the matches free of charge.
