Region/ State Judo Competition : Yangon Region wins Judo Championship trophy

The Yangon Region team won the championship trophy at the 2026 Regional and State Judo Championships, with seven gold, two silver and two bronze medals, for a total of 11 medals.

Shan State won the Mix Team final, defeating Ayeyawady Region, while Kayin State and Mandalay Region shared third place. Yangon Region team also won the men’s championship trophy, with four gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Kachin State won the women’s championship trophy, with four gold, two silver and two bronze medals. The four-day competition was held from September 8 to 11 at Gymnasium C of Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex in Nay Pyi Taw. A total of 238 athletes from 15 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams from across Myanmar took part in the events.
