Mitigation Measures: Prevention against further erosion of Ngawun Riverbank

The ongoing measures are underway in Laymyethna Township of Hinthada District in Ayeyawady Region where subsidence had occurred along the Ngawun embankment.

On Thursday, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw visited the site and supervised the measures to prevent further erosion and the blockage of waterways. During the inspection, officials presented and discussed the current conditions of the Ngawun River and the progress of ongoing field operations. The Deputy Minister coordinated the requirements through the cooperation of the Ayeyawady Region Government and technicians from relevant departments.
