Knowledge Sharing Session: MOEA and ACC jointly conducted the session

The knowledge sharing session for raising awareness and holding discussions on anti-corruption, jointly conducted by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Commission, was held Monday morning at the meeting hall of the Ministry.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, who delivered the opening speech. In his opening address, the Union Minister urged civil servants to take note of the knowledge and insights gained from the knowledge sharing session, to comply with them, and to share them with their colleagues, their surroundings, and their respective organizations.

He also advised them to be cautious and avoid situations that could lead to corruption, and to report any instances of dishonesty, improper benefits, or corrupt practices to the relevant authorities in accordance with established procedures. He further encouraged them to become good civil servants who are free from corruption and can contribute to the benefit of the State and the public.

Following this, the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission, U Soe Thein, spoke about the activities undertaken by the Commission. Subsequently, officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission office gave detailed explanations, discussions, and talks on corruption prevention and the Anti-Corruption Law.

Attendees then raised questions on matters they wished to know about corruption, and the officials from the Commission office provided answers in return. Afterwards, a meeting was held, led by Commission member Dr. Tun Tun Oo, with the Corruption Prevention Units (CPUs) from the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs. During this meeting, they discussed experiences encountered in the work of the prevention units, their strengths and weaknesses, and assessments and reports submitted, it’s reported.
