Argentina's Paredes suspended for 10 games for World Cup fight

FIFA handed Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes a 10-match international suspension and a $90,000 fine for a violent post-match brawl following Argentina-Spain match in the World Cup final. Besides, teammate Nahuel Molina received a seven-match ban, and assistant coach Roberto Ayala was suspended for three games.

The sanctions handed down by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for the post-final confrontation rank among the harshest in tournament history. The federation was also ordered to restrict stadium capacity for upcoming home matches.
