Cultural Exchange: Weekly Chinese Film Screening Programme in Yangon

A weekly Chinese film screening programme and a documentary screening titled Shenzhou-13 were launched at the National Theatre on Myoma Kyaung Road in Dagon Township, Yangon, on Sunday.

The event featured an exhibition of award-winning photographs created using AI technology to recreate intangible cultural heritage from China and Myanmar, as well as paintings displayed under the theme “Our Planet Through Your Eyes.” Students from the State High School of Arts (Yangon) and Bowen School performed songs and dances before the film screenings.

Chinese Consul General Shen Dan, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint and the head of the Chinese Cultural Centre (Yangon) delivered remarks. The documentary Shenzhou-13 was then screened. The programme is jointly organized by the Chinese Cultural Centre (Yangon), China Media Group (CMG) and Myanma Radio and Television to promote understanding of Chinese culture and traditions.

The programme will be held every Saturday at the Chinese Cultural Centre (Yangon), featuring documentaries on space exploration, technology and films highlighting patriotic themes.
