Chinese navy task force arrives in Indonesia for goodwill visit

Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy’s 83rd task force arrived in Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, Indonesia, on Sunday to start a four-day goodwill visit. During the visit, naval personnel from both countries will take part in reciprocal ship visits as well as cultural and sporting events.

The task force will host a deck reception and open the vessels to visitors, including local residents and members of the Chinese community. Following the visit, the two navies will hold joint maritime exercises.
