






The National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee held peace talks with representatives of the Naga National Socialist Council (NSCN-K) (Ang Mai ) in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
The meeting followed the government's invitation, issued on 21 April 2026, for armed groups to participate in peace discussions without preconditions.
During the talks, both sides discussed maintaining peace and stability in the Naga region, strengthening cooperation with the government, regional development, security, socio-economic progress, and ceasefire-related matters.
Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting development in the Naga Self-Administered Zone and resolving political issues through peaceful dialogue within the existing legal framework.
NSCN-K (Ang Mai) Peace Committee Chairman U Chin Maung welcomed the government's peace initiative and expressed the willingness to continue cooperating to preserve peace and promote development in the Naga region.
