






A meeting to support the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including technology transfer programs, was held on Friday at the Ministry of Industry and MSME Development.
Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than explained the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote MSME development, including support programs, technology transfer, and measures to strengthen local businesses.
Officials from the ministry presented updates on MSME development policies, implementation plans, support mechanisms, and future activities. They also discussed the roles of MSME-related committees, agencies, and supporting organizations in promoting small and medium enterprises across the country.
Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung welcomed efforts to revise SME-related laws in line with current conditions and emphasized the need to address challenges facing MSMEs.
He also highlighted the importance of promoting local products, supporting businesses through appropriate financial assistance, and improving cooperation among relevant sectors. The meeting concluded with discussions on further cooperation and continued efforts to support the growth of MSMEs.
