Ordinance 3/2026: Extension of declaring State of Emergency

Office of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar issued Ordinance 3/2026 on 21st July, 2026. The Office of the President issued Ordinance 1/2026, declaring a state of emergency, on 23rd April 2026.

With the consent of the ninth day of the second regular session of the third Union Hluttaw, held on 21 July 2026, with the exception of Tonzang Township and Falam Township in Chin State, where administrative, community peace and stability, and rule of law processes have returned to normal conditions, the said Ordinance shall remain in force for the remaining townships listed in the aforementioned declaration for a further period of ninety (90) days from today, in accordance with Article 202, Sub-section (d) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. It was signed by the President U Min Aung Hlaing.
