Apple sues OpenAI for trade secrets violations

Apple on Friday filed a blockbuster lawsuit against OpenAI for stealing proprietary hardware trade secrets, unreleased product designs, and supply chain strategies to jumpstart a competing consumer hardware division.

The lawsuit accuses former Apple staff of taking thousands of pages of technical data and coaching job candidates to bring actual Apple hardware parts to OpenAI interviews as props. Apple described its findings as "the tip of the iceberg," saying it had limited visibility into what was happening behind OpenAI's closed doors.
