Security Measures: Underground bunkers discovered during security operations

Tatmadaw has continued security operations along the Chaung-U–Yesagyo road in Sagaing Region and discovered fortified underground concrete bunkers allegedly used by insurgent groups.

According to the reports, troops cleared Ngalone Tin Village and found a reinforced underground bunker hidden beneath a building in nearby farmland. Forces also took control of Mahti Tha and Min Khaung villages, where insurgents had established bases.

Defensive positions were also found in the villages, including sandbag bunkers, trenches, and landmines placed around homes, religious buildings, and public facilities.

Authorities said clearance and rehabilitation efforts are underway, including removing debris and clearing mines to allow displaced residents to return safely. Security operations in the surrounding area are continuing.
