Online Scam Operations : More buildings demolished in Shwe Kokko

Authorities have demolished three more illegal four-story buildings in Shwe Kokko that were allegedly used for online scam and illegal gambling operations.

According to the report, security forces and local authorities are continuing crackdowns on online fraud networks operating in Shwe Kokko and the nearby KK Park area. A total of 77 illegal buildings linked to scam operations were identified for demolition, including 57 structures to be torn down with heavy machinery and 20 to be destroyed by controlled explosions.

With the latest demolition, nine buildings have now been destroyed, while 68 structures remain scheduled for removal. The operation is part of Myanmar’s efforts to eliminate online scam centers and prevent them from re-establishing operations in the country. The government is working in cooperation with neighboring countries in the crackdown.
