Legal Awareness Seminar: Seminar for Region-level departmental officials held

Organized by the Magway Region Government, an opening ceremony for the “Legal Awareness Seminar for Region-Level Departmental Organizations” was held on Tuesday at the City Hall in Magway. The seminar was organized with the aim of spreading legal knowledge among region-level departments and enabling them to carry out office procedures more effectively in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations.

At the ceremony, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko delivered the opening speech stating that the seminar was arranged in a way that would not disrupt the participants’ regular work duties. Therefore, the sessions would be conducted for three hours per day over four consecutive days, giving participants a total of 12 hours of study time. It was also explained that ten essential laws which civil servants should know would be selected and discussed during the seminar. In addition, participants from the region-level departments were encouraged to continue studying and improving their legal knowledge beyond the seminar.

Next, the Region Advocate General U Aye Lwin explained the objectives of holding the legal awareness seminar and presented the subjects that would be taught during the training.

A total of 92 trainees from various region-level departments attended the seminar. Over the four-day course, participants will study constitutional knowledge, civil service laws and regulations, and legal subjects related to office administration. The lectures and discussions will be conducted by regional law officers, deputy regional law officers, district law officers, and assistant regional law officers from the Magway Region Advocate General’s Office, based on their professional experience and practical work knowledge, it’s learnt.
