




The Ministry of Women’s Affairs held a preparatory meeting for the upcoming Myanmar Women’s Day and programs for the development of rural women.
Union Minister Dr. Thit Thit Zin thanked women’s organizations nationwide for actively supporting women’s and girls’ development. She emphasized the ministry’s role in coordinating with other government departments and partner organizations to strengthen programs that provide education, livelihoods, and skills training for rural women. Activities will take place in over 60 villages.
The Myanmar Women’s Day event on July 3, will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Myanmar National Committee on Women. Preparatory activities include gender equality awareness programs in universities and schools, home management and floral decoration training, and skill-building courses in Yangon and Mandalay. The meeting concluded after discussions among attendees and committee members.
