Thailand has approved the resumption of jet fuel exports to Viet Nam and the Philippines following requests from both nations.

This move, confirmed by Thailand's National Security Council, came as the country maintains a steady surplus in domestic aviation fuel production. Both Viet Nam and the Philippines faced a significant supply crunch and struggled with critically low jet fuel reserves.

The crisis even led foreign airports to restrict refueling, forcing the carriers to tanker fuel for their return journeys. Meanwhile, Thailand briefly suspended fuel exports to safeguard its own domestic supply during the height of the Mideast crisis so that its production remained strong.
