Stars walk the red carpet for "Fatherland" at the Cannes Film Festival

Stars walked the red carpet for the premiere of Fatherland during the 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 14, in Cannes, France. Several international stars attended the screening and after-party, including Demi Moore, Diane Kruger and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

After the screening, Fatherland reportedly received a six-minute standing ovation inside the theater. Critics described Fatherland as one of the festival’s strongest auteur films this year. The event also drew attention because Cannes 2026 introduced stricter red-carpet dress rules regarding oversized gowns and “decency” standards.
