To promote the interests of the public, the Hluttaw will promptly review existing laws and undertake necessary amendments, supplementations, or the enactment of new legislation,” stated the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, during a meeting with constituents of the Zayyathiri Township, Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw, on Wednesday morning at the Thukha Yadaana Monastery in SeinSar Pin Village.
Furthermore, the Speaker noted that in accordance with the Hluttaw's motto “The People’s Voice, the Hluttaw’s Voice; The People’s Will, the Hluttaw’s Will; The People’s Expectations, Implemented by the Hluttaw”, the voices and desires of the voters will be forwarded to the Government to facilitate their implementation.
He added that during this meeting with local residents, any regional development needs would be coordinated with the Government through the Hluttaw. Following his remarks, local constituents raised several points, including the renovation of pagodas and stupas damaged by earthquakes, the construction of concrete roads within the village and inter-village connecting roads, access to electricity, and the availability of fuel for agricultural purposes.
In response to these submissions, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker stated that these matters have been officially recorded. He explained that immediate issues would be addressed in cooperation with relevant departments, while long-term projects would be prioritized following field inspections.
