Chile and U.S. sign memo on critical minerals cooperation

Chile and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in critical minerals, including copper, lithium and rare earth elements.

The agreement followed a joint declaration signed after the inauguration of Chilean President Jose Antonio Kast and came as Washington seeks to strengthen supply chains amid global competition in the sector.
