


EU foreign policy chief KajaKallas has called for increased efforts to ensure respect for human rights and accountability, as European officials expressed support for the Palestinian Authority and renewed focus on a two-state solution during a conference in Brussels.
The meeting included discussions on the political framework for advancing peace efforts in the Middle East, with emphasis on implementing international resolutions and strengthening Palestinian governance structures. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa said the situation presented both significant challenges and an opportunity to move toward a lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
Mohammed Mustafa, Palestinian prime minister said "We gather today at a moment defined by both immense tragedy and a narrow but real opportunity to move from war toward a just and lasting peace, grounded in the two-state solution."
The conference also addressed the role of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza and the West Bank, and broader regional implications of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
