Hollywood stars celebrate Eddie Murphy’s AFI Life Achievement Award

Hollywood’s biggest names gathered on the red carpet to celebrate Eddie Murphy as he received the prestigious AFI Life Achievement Award. Stars including Spike Lee, Colman Domingo, Mike Myers and Eva Longoria walked the Hollywood red carpet, joining many others from across the entertainment industry to honour Murphy’s decades-long career. 

 Eddie Murphy, Actor said  "Oh, it feels wonderful to be honoured any day. But this is a wonderful one. Yeah, man." 

The ceremony featured tributes praising Murphy’s impact on film, highlighting his versatility, comedic genius and influence as a trailblazing box office star. The American Film Institute (AFI), founded in 1967, presents the award to honour outstanding contributions to cinema and to preserve film heritage. The ceremony will stream on Netflix on May 31, marking its debut on the platform.
