Yo-Yo fanatics compete at French championships

The Yo-Yo championship took place in Paris on Friday, drawing a curious crowd eager to experience and learn about this vibrant discipline. Competition yo-yo started in the 90s in the US and that's where the World Yo-Yo Contest had been held for many years.

But the French Yo-Yo Championships was held with more and more new countries coming in to compete, and it started moving the national championships around since 2014. Yo-yos as a toy are a childhood memory for many people, but in this event, it's a competitive sport that they take very seriously indeed.
