Eleven dead after bus plunges into ravine in Ecuador

Ecuadorian emergency officials said that eleven people were killed and 20 were injured on Wednesday when a bus veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in southern country.  Ambulances, fire crews, and rescue teams were dispatched immediately to the area as search and recovery operations continued in difficult terrain.

Officials said investigations have been launched to determine the circumstances leading to the accident, while rescue teams continue to search the crash site for any additional victims.
