Macron lands in South Korea for a state visit

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in South Korea on Thursday following his Japan’s visit. Ahead of Macron’s visit, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung called for stronger cooperation with France, particularly in key areas such as artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, hydrogen technologies and space.

Macron's two-day itinerary includes a summit with President Lee and a trip to Korean War memorial to pay tribute to French soldiers, as well as an economic forumand dinner with K-pop stars and South Korean filmmakers.
