French adventurer Guirec Soudée returned to Brest after completing a reverse round-the-world voyage in 94 days, 21 hours, and 58 minutes. He set a new record for the fastest solo circumnavigation against prevailing winds and currents aboard a MACSF maxi-trimaran, beating the previous time by nearly a month.

Soudée’s journey marks one of the fastest solo oceanic trips against natural currents on an Ultim-class trimaran. Soudée plans to compete in the next Route du Rhum in November.
