




A rescue team from Animals Lebanon is operating in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which have been hit by frequent airstrikes, to recover trapped animals. The group reported that it has rescued 241 animals from southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut since the escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
Volunteers conduct search and rescue operations in damaged buildings, including entering homes to retrieve animals that remain inside. The work is carried out under ongoing security risks in areas subject to bombardment. The organization stated that its teams are able to locate and capture animals due to their experience in tracking and handling them.
It also provides veterinary care, food, and shelter for rescued animals. In addition to assisting animals, the group supports displaced residents who have fled affected areas, including those unable to retrieve their pets.
