Zelensky visits UAE, Qatar for air security talks with Gulf

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar respectively to cooperate air defense.

During his visit to former country, Zelensky said that his country and UAE had agreed to cooperate on defense amid Iran conflicts. Kyiv has sought to leverage its expertise in anti-drone system to help Gulf nations and had deployed anti-drone experts to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar. On his arrival in Qatar, Zelensky announced on social media that real security was built on partnership he valued and open to those who are ready to work together for this goal." Ukraine had proposed swapping its interceptors for vastly more expensive air-defense missiles that Gulf countries are using to down Iranian drones.
