School attack in Chile leaves 1 dead and 4 injured

Chilean police said that an attack at a school in northern country killed at least one person and injured four others on Friday. The police said in a statement that a 12th grade student attacked three students and two members of school staff leaving the severe wounded.

According to authorities, the school was also evacuated and classes were canceled. The attacker’s identity and age weren’t immediately released, but Antofagasta Governor said that the assailant was a student carried with accelerant liquids, leading investigators to work on the hypothesis that the attack was premeditated.
