Iran pledges energy support to Sri Lanka

In a diplomatic move aimed at stabilizing South Asian energy concerns, Iran’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Dr. Alireza Delkhosh, has issued a formal assurance that Tehran will prioritize the island nation’s economic security despite the intensification of the Iran War.

The Ambassador confirmed that Iran is prepared to facilitate the immediate supply of crude oil and essential commodities to Colombo, provided a formal request initiated by the Sri Lankan government. Highlighting the resilience of bilateral trade, Dr. Delkhosh stated that Tehran is committed to ensuring its allies do not face an energy vacuum as a result of the ongoing hostilities.
