Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Akazawa and US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum discussed stable procurement of rare earths and other critical minerals in Tokyo on Saturday.

Besides, Japan and the US were working to include a nuclear power project in a second round of deals under Japan's $550-billion investment package that will involve Westinghouse company this month. During the meeting, both sides agreed to work closely to diversity supply chains within Japan.
