UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told the journalists in New York that UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon was concerned about the serious hostilities across the Blue Line which is the subject of an ongoing border dispute between Israel, Lebanon, and Hezbollah.

He noted that peacekeepers had detected more than 120 projectiles launched from Lebanese territory towards Israel, and seven Israeli air attacks and over 120 incidents of artillery fire in response. He also emphasized to continue to stress the obligations of all sides to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and guarantee that civilians across the Blue Line and UN premises should never be targetted.
