Two tons of cocaine are displayed Tuesday at Acapulco harbour after Mexican federal forces carried out an operation off the coast of Acapulco in the Pacific Ocean, according to the Security Ministry. Two navy patrol vessels located 80 waterproof bundles of cocaine floating in the water, a common method used by drug trafficking networks.

This seizure is part of ongoing counter-narcotics efforts. It was made with intelligence shared by the U.S. Northern Command and the Joint Interagency Task Force South, demonstrating binational cooperation.
