Leavitt defends Trump on Iran, energy policy

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said oil prices remain stable after Donald Trump announced steps to ensure stability in global energy markets. She added that the U.S. economy is strong enough to withstand any temporary impacts from Operation Epic Fury.

Leavitt also stressed that the SAVE America Act remains a priority, noting that the president continues to focus on key domestic issues and is scheduled to attend the Ratepayer Protection Pledge roundtable. Addressing criticism over U.S. action against Iran, Leavitt said, “This is a president who has been remarkably consistent on this issue — that Iran can never obtain a nuclear weapon. And the president tried peace through diplomacy exhaustively and extensively.”
